Coach Jessica Cassedy

Head Coach

Coach Jess is a Northern Virginia native. She is a Stonewall Jackson High School graduate who led the Raiders’ varsity softball team to a Group AAA state championship in 2004. She went on to play D1 in college at Marist, where she was a four-year starter and earned first-team all MACC honors and also set school and conference records for home runs, RBIs, batting average and on-base percentage.

Coach “Jess” is also the Varsity Head Softball Coach at Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School, in Prince William County. Adding to her resume of accomplishment, in just their 3rd year of existence, she led the Colgan Sharks to their first district championship in 2019 and was named the Cardinal District Coach of the Year.

Across all age groups her coaching philosophy is to develop athletes who not only play the game, but know the game. She teaches the fundamentals of softball, accountability, teamwork, and the importance of good work ethic. These skills are essential for success on and off the field. Our team’s goal is to develop both the skill and character of our players as we prepare them for their future success in softball.
